Hi 310! I just wanted to take the time to give all of you an update about what happened in Albania this summer. So without further ado…here it is…

Two days after arriving in Albania on July 10th, we began teaching conversational English courses to students who were 12-15 years old. We later invited various students out so that we could spend time with them and talk to them about the gospel. In the midst of the two weeks spent teaching English courses, we also had the opportunity to encourage and fellowship with the Young Professionals group of Grace Church Tirana, a group that has doubled in size since its inception less than a year ago! During our final week in Albania, we held a Vacation Bible School, inviting mostly our students. By the end of the week we had close to 30 children attending, all of whom were able to hear the gospel. On the second-to-last day of the Vacation Bible School, we held a parent’s night and were able to talk with the parents about what we were teaching their children. Then, before we knew it, we were packing to return to the United States.
My experiences in Albania have taught me so much over the years. One of the many lessons that the Lord taught me this trip was to trust in His planning. There were countless times when my plans didn’t work out and instead, God provided a better way to meet the needs of the situation. Another lesson that the Lord impressed upon my heart is to remember that sharing the gospel is a normal part of our everyday life. Whether at work, in the gym, or even at Friday night fellowship, our lives should be all about the gospel and the message of salvation. We rejoice in it, live under its grace, and are compelled to share it with others. Thanks for all of your prayers and support. Knowing brothers and sisters like you is yet another example of God’s abundant grace in my life.
