Summer Concerts - Thursday nights during July and August

Downtown Burbank turns into an open-air dance hall as thousands of eager dancers swing and jive under the stars to the best in live music. This outdoor concert lasts for nine weeks on the AMC Walkway at Palm Avenue and San Fernando Boulevard. Events kick-off at 6:00 P.M., with free swing and salsa classes led by Francisco & Stacey, www.thedancefamily.com. Once the band starts at 7:00 P.M., participants dance the night away on the outdoor plaza.

August 30 - THE WISE GUYS

This Montebello/East LA-based big band features a screamin’ horn line, a talented vocalist and a roarin’ rhythm section. Their repertoire includes the swingin’ vocal tunes of Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darrin and Peggy Lee, big band favorites from Glenn Miller, Perez Prado, Count Basie and Buddy Rich and classic mambos and cumbias. www.mtbwiseguys.org
