I just read and am thrilled in my soul by your words. Yes, the sweet Balm in Gilead of hymns, distilled by trial and suffering in people that walked the same road as we and struggled with sin and rejoiced in communion with our Lord. Knowing you has brought the beauty of Christ and the refinement of the spirit to me in a way that I never knew before. God has taught me through you and your example. I pray that He continue to “mold us and make us after His will” in core group. What a miracle already that we from such different pasts could share sweet fellowship and true love in Christ.

Great idea Ted. Spread the joy. You’re like a cousin I never had. I wish I could come and hang with the 310 fam this thanksgiving day. I will be with in Castaic Lake with my mama and papa, enjoying a roasted turkey I get to broil in red wine. My side dishes will be red mash potatoes, sauteed green beans with black pepper and almonds, classic butter flavored stuffing, and maybe cornbread with a side of pumpkin pie and whip cream. Have a happy Lord’s giving day.

Tim,
I am privileged to read your words and blessed to be encouraged. You are one that love and kindness flows out from but one that I don’t really know in the sense of your thoughts or words. Thank you for extending this reflection of faith that is so honest just “what it is”.
After I saw you this morning, I regretted not asking about your upcoming big step and how you working it out but now I see, “trust in the Lord”.
